About MeHello, World! My name is Laura Daniela Barreto. I am the first generation of my family to grow up in the United States. Ever since I was a little girl, I thought I was meant to pursue music, yet a very serendipitous series of events led me to take my first Computer Science course. I have never looked back. I knew I was meant to code when I realized I feel even more joyful coding than when I practice piano. Yet my passion for music has not left. I am eager to combine my interests and create applications that apply my knowledge of music and my love for code. In addition, I love the process of creating something from scratch with code! So basically anything Software Engineering related. I am an advocate for inspiring more minorities to take the first steps of learning how to code. I also LOVE pandas. They've been my favorite animal since the age of seven. I've been heavily involved in collegiate a cappella, so if you're a fan of vocal music, you should check out my group, the Vassar Devils!
